Range Netting Upgrade Project (February 2025 – May 2025)

From Monday 28 April, we have started Phase 2 of the Range Netting Project:

  • Phase 2 involves the installation of the netting and is expected to be completed by the end of May.
  • The Driving Range will be closed during the day on weekdays to allow contractors to work on the netting. We will open the Range at 3pm during the week, and regular business hours on the weekend. See updated Range hours.

Whaleback has begun the process of installing new netting, reaching as high as 36 metres, around the driving range, with Country Club International on site to complete the works. 

The new driving range netting, funded from Whaleback’s golf operations revenue streams, will significantly improve patron safety on the 9th and 14th holes and improve operational efficiencies. At over 36 metres high in areas, this will be some of the highest driving range netting in Perth.”

Construction is expected to be completed in May 2025. While there will be some disruption, the range will remain open to customers for the majority of this time.
